The Acquisition of Kompressor Teknik KL AB – A Milestone in Gothenburg
In 1999, Aircenter took a strategic and important step into the Gothenburg region when Kenneth Johansson acquired Kompressor Teknik KL AB.
What began as a well-respected local company with solid expertise and strong customer relationships quickly became a central part of Aircenter’s growth journey. Under Kenneth Johansson’s leadership, Kompressor Teknik continued to develop and over the years built one of the strongest brands in compressed air in Western Sweden. The company became synonymous with reliability, high service standards, and technical expertise in Gothenburg and its surrounding areas.
A key part of this success has been Tomas Nyman, who for many years has served as Service Manager. With his deep commitment, extensive experience, and personal presence, Tomas and his team have delivered professional support and peace of mind to generations of customers. For decades, many companies in the region have been able to trust that their compressed air systems would always perform – thanks to the knowledge, speed, and care that have characterized Kompressor Teknik KL AB.
In late 2023, a new chapter was written in the company’s history. Kompressor Teknik KL AB was merged with Aircenter AB and became an integrated part of the larger Aircenter family. Today, the former Kompressor Teknik serves as the natural Gothenburg office for Aircenter AB.
Through the merger, we have been able to retain everything that was best about the local brand – the personal service, the deep local knowledge, and the high technical competence – while now offering our customers in Western Sweden even broader resources, a wider product range, and an even stronger organization behind them.
